Funny Things is Wolverhampton's first ever comedy festival, created in response to a ONS survey that stated Wolverhampton is one of the most miserable places in the UK.
Between Monday 23rd October and Sunday 5th November, there will be gigs and events in theatres and pubs across the city, workshops for children during the half term and for adults and film screenings, talks and meet ups.
Some gigs are ticketed and can be booked through the Midland Box Office (Wolverhampton Art Gallery) and some you pay at the door.
The Lych Gate Tavern, The Walkabout, the Newhampton Arts Centre, the Slade Rooms, Wulfrun Hall, the Civic, the Arena, the University of Wolverhampton, the Light House Centre, the Grand Theatre and even The Giffard Arms (that Goth and metal pub on Victoria Street) are all hosting events.
Kicking off with Mrs Barbara Nice in conversation with Francesca Martinez in the Slade Rooms on Monday 23rd October at 7.30pm, Funny Things promises to be a good laugh.
