Wandsworth test - extra credit for August born?

I've read some tutors info saying that extra credit is given in the Wandsworth test to those children born in August. I'm wondering what this means in practice and what experience people have of this?

My son is due to sit the test next year, and will have only just turned 10 a few weeks earlier when he takes it.

Yes, the children’s ages are taken into account when they score the test.
