Moving to Lyminge Village?

We have found a nice place in Lyminge near Ashford/Folkstone. It appears to be a small village, which looks quite quaint. Although I can't seem to find much info or opinions from others.

I'm from the Medway area and we are looking for a quieter lifestyle.

Any locals, or near locals that live in the surrounding villages. I would imagine they all have a similar way of life.

I haven't lived there but by all accounts it seems all right. Good location for Canterbury/Ashford/Folkestone, though I don't think it's got a station? Or has it?

We looked at a couple of houses there.

I'd go for it unless you hear otherwise [awaits next post saying it's full of gangs]

I mean it's got good facilities and some shops so better than a lot of villages iyswim

Recently the Chinese takeaway gave loads of folk food poisoning lol

I would check out whether the village is effected by lorries parking around the area. Also are roads affected by Operarion Stack ?

Hi! I'm local ish! Nice village, quaint, not as posh as some but defintey no gangs! My friends gran lives there and has an allotment.
Just to set record straight on the Chinese (which is the best in the area full stop!) the owners leased it to someone else so they could go home for a year or two as kids were young, the people who leased it ran it
Intot he ground changed suppliers and didn't pay rent for 10months! Oh and gave people food positing I guess! Heartbreaking as had built up such a good rep. (We were gutted as nowhere as good for miles) anyhow owners back now all good and back to former glory! We struggle to
Get a table there now if not booked days in advance!

Ps operation stack no worse impact here than any other town/ village remotely close to the M20.
