Muirhead - Heathfields - persimmons homes

Hi,
My partner and I are thinking of moving to Glasgow and we have taken an interest in Muirhead because of the new builds in Heathfields. As I have 2 kids (6&3) it is a massive decision to move them so any feedback on area and schools would be appreciated.

Hi, i live in Stepps which in the next village along from Muirhead/Chryston.

It is a nice little village with good links via public transport/motorway.

It also hold a Gala Day every year in the local park which is always really fab.

The local butcher has won awards for their products and it always has lines out the door at Christmas time.

I dont know much about the local primary school but the high school has just been re built and has good reviews

The local high school isn't great, league table wise. If your budget can stretch I'd look at Stepps / Lennie instead.
