Special needs autism schools

Can anyone recommend a special needs school in the rotherham/Sheffield area, for a child with autism 5 yrs old .

The Rowan school - in Dore, so quite a trek if you're coming from Rotherham, but lovely. I've not been a parent there, but have visited and liked what I saw.

There is also brantwood, but from age 7.

How severely affected is your child? Can they talk and interact?

He his non verbal ,, and yes some interaction on his terms
