A big hello

Hi, I must introduce myself as I'm the new local editor of the Belfast local talk. I am going to try my bestest to get the local site up and running after the recent design upgrade. I am new to doing this but I'd love the Belfast site to be informative and more up to date. I intend on adding listings and events and all the necessary info people might need, so bear with me whilst I find my feet !

I'm a mum to one and a mumsnet addict on the main boards but I hope we can get something going here on the local site and I'll try and help out with any queries and advice when I can

My mil is lovely but mad and safely in Yorkshire so I'm alright too. Wouldn't know how to look for previous posts or how to fb stalk someone from MN either, though there is a lovely local lass on here but don't know her MN name.

Is it a coffee meetup or will there be alcohol? 😁

Buckeejit - I do not have a breathing MIL but a DM who more than makes up for it. Oh I didn't mean stalking on FB via mumsnet...that would be a technological bridge too far for me.

Re meet up - I think the procedure (going by other local boards) is someone nominates themselves as the "meet up coordinator" - sounds terribly grand but hopefully there's someone who's actually good at organising, so it makes sense. I was wondering about the booze or coffee thing myself !

booze sounds good

Booze is nearly always good, except if it is on your rice crispies every morning. I was wondering though if a meet up initially may have to be during the day - some of us may not be able to figure in child care and have to work around school etc.
But I'll leave that decision to a meet up organiser...tumbleweed moment
