Just to let you know you've posted this on a local site, was that intentional? Usually much quieter than the main board so you might not get quick replies.

Single parents in Durham in particular or in general? I'm not a single parent, but I do live in Durham!

There's a lone parents board on the main site which might be useful. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/lone_parents Of course if it is something that people who are local to you can help with please do post here. You might get more responses on the main boards though. Hope this helps.
