Nurseries

Hello, I've just moved to Grantchester with my young son (7m) and am looking for a nursery place from January, ideally near to Grantchester or the station as I'm planning on returning to work in London. I'll probably also be looking for a childminder who'd be able to take him and collect him from nursery assuming nurseries don't open before I'd need to leave. I'd be grateful for any recommendations. Thank you!

Hi Ginger,

I'm afraid nursery places in Cambridge are few and far between. For an under 2 year old needing a space from Jan you really need to get organised. I guess Rainbow Nursery in Trumpington is closest to you and takes babies from 3 months. No idea about their waiting lists but I would expect them to be full.

Cambridge County Council has a list of local childminders:

Good luck!

We had children at Harvey Road Day Nursery, it's not far from the Station - they loved it there.

Monkey Puzzle has just opened near Parkers Piece, don't know too much about it but it might have more availability?

Good luck x
