Applying for reception place at primary school

Hi.
We've recently moved into Chingford and applied for a primary school place for our 5 year old. Unfortunately we have not been successful with any of our preferences and have rather been offered one with a very poor rating and performance. We declined this offer and currently have no place. I'm not sure what to do. Do I reapply? How do I know which other schools have places available so l don't get a refusal again? I'm new to this process and totally confused and stressed. Any help or advice will he much appreciated.
