Bromley Prep Schools

Hi, my DS will be starting reception in September 2018 and I'm looking at sending him to an independent prep school. I am actually from Croydon Borough but border Bromley too. I know quite a bit about the Croydon prep schools but very little about any of the Bromley ones. Are there any mummies whose DC go to a prep school in Bromley and would mind sharing some general information on how they find it. I will of course be looking at prospectuses and definitely visiting the schools over the next few months, but any parent information would be greatly appreciated. TIA x

DD went to one co-ed non selective from pre-reception to Y2 and then a selective all girls from y3. Most of the boys we know were happy at schools like Dulwich, Babington, Eltham and Bickley Park. Farrington's is popular for DCs waiting for places at Y3 and they give a great head start but there is a brain drain from end of Y2 often to other more selective schools. In hindsight the early years in independent school were priceless, after that we could have slotted into the outstanding local state school. DD is far happier at her all girls state secondary than she ever was at the independent school she attended from Y3 to Y6, so do look at all schools irrespective of sector.
