Advice on Harrogate and surrounding area (to live)

Hi there,
Currently living in North Leeds but would love to move more towards the Harrogate area as nearer to work and also for the schools.

Can anyone advise me areas/villages both in and around Harrogate? DH works south of Leeds so needs to be South side of Harrogate. Ideally somewhere with a good sense of community, a decent primary school and transport links (not that I'm asking for much haha). I love Harrogate itself but DH wants to be somewhere a bit more rural so I'm looking for a bit a compromise, preferably somewhere with nice places to walk. Thanks in advance!

Pannal and Burn Bridge on the south side of Harrogate. There's a train station in Pannal so good for commuting to Leeds.Slightly separate from Harrogate but only five minutes drive up the hill to get into town!

We went for further up with easier access to M1 - Great Ouseburn - takes an hour max to Leeds which is same as it used to take from Adel to the centre!
