New Mum (41) looking to meet mummy friends

Hi
I posted on the Southwark board but not much response there.

Thought I'd post on here too.

I'm a first time mum, my little one is now 15 weeks old. I'm looking to meet other first time mums in and around Dulwich, Herne Hill, Clapham, Brixton for play dates, walks in the park with our little ones, coffee mornings, baby groups, yoga.
Drop me a line if you fancy a chat.

Thanks.

Whereabouts are you? Have you checked noticeboards at local church halls for details of parent and baby groups there? The NCT used to run a group on (I think) Friday mornings at St Faith's.

Hi LuluinLambeth
Thanks for your reply. I'm in East Dulwich, I have gone to a couple library groups and enquired about other local baby groups but still awaiting a response. The groups around here seem to book up pretty and I have found one or two a little cliquey. So I thought it would be nice to get to know some local mothers over a coffee and chat and see what happens. I actually had a look at the NCT website last night and have seen tea groups and walking groups, so will pop along.
I know of a St Francis Church in Red Post Hill. I will take a walk over with the little one and have a look at their notice board and some of the church boards near to me.
Thanks again.

You're welcome! It's a long time since I was on the parent and baby circuit but, yes, classes get very full. We used to love Whippersnappers as it was a drop-in but generally we went to various stay and play things held in different church halls.

Hi, if you join the Brixton mums group on Facebook the NCT group often posts walks in brockwell park and meet ups at pop Brixton, and going to baby cinema at the ritzy. You could also ask in there if anyone wants to meet, it's a bit more active than this board m.facebook.com/groups/1608499442701138
There's also east dulwich mums, and herne hill mums

Thank you BrixTrix, I will look into your suggestions. I like the ideas of the baby cinema at the Rity. Smile
