Swimming in Milton Keynes

Hi I am quite new to Milton Keynes, can anybody recommend a swimming pool for doing proper lane swimming? I don't mind paying a membership but ideally I don't want to pay David Lloyd prices just to go swimming!

You could try Stantonbury, Wolverton or Bletchley.

Thank you, I have just quit my Woughton Leisure centre membership because the swimming sessions are either full to capacity or I end up treading water behind very slow people. I'll have a look at those and see if they are any better.

There used to be gym in the holiday inn city centre where you could just join for the swimming pool. Spirit gym was called

There's a pool in Newport Pagnell which is supposed to be quite nice.

I used to go to the pool in the Holiday Inn - not been recently but it usedto be quiet enough to go at your own speed and they used to give you a free couple of hours parking in the carpark outside, which was handy if you needed to pop into the centre!

Dw sport also has a nice pool that wasn't as expensive as David Lloyd to bea member of. Think there are acouple of other hotels that also have pools/gyms you can be a member of. And there's also Bannatyne's in the centre.

I seem to remember that there's a website that give offers on gyms... Kept meaning to use it, haven't yet Grin but it often had cheap day passes on which might be a good way to try a few.
