Within reasonable distance to London, where in Cambrisgeshire is nice to live for families?

I'm looking for a villagey area where there are also other children around. A good local primary and secondary school and a few shops and perhaps a swimming pool or cycle routes (something for the older kids). Not too far to get into town. Like it to be quite quiet but also feel very safe. Any where like this exist??

Ely is 20 min drive into central Cambridge but the train route goes from Ely to London. Ely has the most sunshine in all of th UK 😁

A village with a swimming pool?!!

Milton/Impington/Histon would tick schools and pool plus shops, but are busy and expensive because they're so vlose to Cambridge.

Cambourne and Bar Hill lack pools and olde-worlde style but have all the shops and facilities. Northstowe is under construction and could be amazing.

You mention London. Are you planning to commute? If so being near a station would help, like maybe Waterbeach or the new station just outside Milton to the north. Or south of the city there's Shelford or Shepreth.
