Baby boxes—thoughts?

We would love to hear what you think about the Finnish-style baby boxes for newborns going Scotland-wide. Useful? wasteful? New members' views welcome too.

I think they're wasteful. I've not seen a single baby out in a baby-box sling yet, and I still frequently attend baby and toddler groups with my 2 year old, in an area with no shortage of new arrivals.
