David Lloyd Cheadle Membership Price

GM, just wondering if I may have your opinions please. Enquired about family membership at David Lloyd for self, DW, two DS aged 7 and 9, platinum membership with racquets with NHS discount. They have quoted £246/month to include DL kids. Sounds a bit steep considering all kids classes (swimming, tennis etc will be at an extra cost). Would be most grateful for members advice of re: above. What are you guys paying? Have fees gone up recently (remember paying £160/month 4 years ago in Chorley)? Many thanks in anticipation.

DL is probably the most expensive place about but the other gyms don't have raquets. There are plenty of tennis clubs around though. For classes, gym and swimming, I'd recommend The Waterside in East Didsbury / Cheadle border. Last time I was a member it was £36 per adult per month and £16 each for kids. You could also try Nuffield at Parrswood which has a kids club if your children are young. That also has a pool, gym and classes although it is about £60 per month for an adult and £16 for children.
