Private or NHS midwife

Has anyone tried private and nhs midwifes on the Isle of wight? What would you recommend. Is it worth paying for your antenatal care? Any info would be great or just thoughts and feeling on your experiences. Many thanks

My youngest is 12 so it's a while but in my experience the iow hospital is less busy than mainland hospitals. My care was excellent, I was offered a home birth if I fancied it. I ended up having an lscs, and was so well looked after.

I didn't use NCT classes but my sister did and made some long lasting friends.
