Upholsterers

Hi.
Has anyone had a sofa reupholstered and is willing to share the name of the upholsterers and the quality of the work?

I have a sofa that I want to have done but wanted to get the best possible advice (i.e. Mumsnet) before proceeding!

Where are you based? I know an upholsterer near Farnham who does a good job. He's called Robert Moody - works near Frensham/ Dockenfield.

I'm looking too! For a chair. Found someone in Portsmouth but that's a bit far! Thanks!

Surrey is a large county, so depends where you live!
We have a place near here called Byne Upholstery, based in Addlestone (near Weybridge) 01932 821861.
Although I haven't used them myself (yet) I have heard very favourable reports from other local people. They seem to have a good reputation.

There's a man in Bookham at Village Upholstery, Paul Harrison. He's about to start a job for me, seems very nice and professional. Reasonable rates I think.

I've used Byne Upholstery.

It's a one-man outfit and the owner, Steve, is lovely. He's not cheap but the quality of his workmanship and attention to detail is amazing.
