What is Ely like?

Hi everyone, we are relocating towards Cambridge next year and want to consider Ely. I've been a few times but obviously it takes much longer to get to know a place. So how would you describe Ely? What is it like as a town? Would be happy to hear the good and bad! Thanks

Drifting, I'm sure you are right but the community has had a lot of promises over the years. It doesn't sound like the OP has children yet so I would imagine that in 12 or so years it will be good!

Also, with a £650k budget they will be able to look at a lot of places in and around Cambridge.
