Living in Dalmeny & commuting to Edinburgh

Hello!We are considering to buy in Dalmeny but the kids study in edinburgh st.georges.Can anyone help by letting me know what is a typical travel time back n forth ?Any issues? What time you start in the morning to reach school by 8.30 am?Many thxs!

My work colleague says her husband leaves at 7.50 and gets to Melville Street for 8.30am from Queensferry.

I'd train to haymarket from dalmemy and walk along. Far more predictable and quicker. It can't be more than 10mins on the train then 20min walk.

This dear but walking from haymarket will be difficult since my younger ones won't be able to walk for 20 min! But good suggestion for working people or older kids.

But if they are old enough to get the train to school they should be able to walk from haymarket.. it's not that far
