Weekend in Penarth

What should we do?

Looking for recommendations on things to do in Penarth. I want to get a feel for what it would be like to live there. So recommendations of cafes, restaurants, pubs, parks, children's play areas and children's activities would all be very gratefully received!

We're a family of 4 thinking of moving to Penarth by the end of the year. We have a 3.5yr old and a 1.5 year old.

Head down to the Barrage, you can walk across to Cardiff Bay. There are great view and a Childrens playground on the Barrage. If you go right across you come out near Dr. Who Experience.

Penarth is lovely, but houses are expensive here.

Penarth Pier - great to watch boats over the Bay.

Cosmeston lakes quite nice
