The Greater Cambridge Partnership (previously the City Deal) released this 4 minute video last night of their aspirations for the future of Cambridge: www.greatercambridge.org.uk/
It left me absolutely uninspired and unenthused - there is no vision there that speaks to me. For example, I'd be looking for commitments about increased capacity at Addenbrooke's; improved sports facilities (eg Milton Rowing Lake, a new stadium for Cambridge United); creating more high quality green spaces because Wandlebury, Anglesey Abbey, etc are already at saturation point; and more arts/cultural venues, capable of hosting big names without the rubbish acoustics of the Corn Exchange.
I'm curious to know how others respond to it and what (if anything) you think is missing. I know housing and transport are discussed endlessly, but there's got to be more to life than that? What else should be on the radar?
