Hello, My wife and I are thinking of moving to Steyning, West Sussex. We've visited it many times and live in Brighton just 12 miles away. However I have been looking over crime statistics for the small town and there are a very high proportion of burglaries every month going back some years. For such a small community we are wondering what is going on. There are burglaries where we live, but the sheer number in Steyning alarm us. Plus so much other crime being reported. Does anyone have any views as to what is going on there? We have a young daughter so are concerned, but really like the town. Many thanks P.
