State and private nurseries for 1st and 2nd choice?

Hi I am filling in the application form for a funded nursery place and wondered if anyone had experience of having a sate nursery as their 1st choice and a private on as 2nd choice? The form seems to assume you're one or the other but I think if we don't get in to the state one we may stick with the current private one (and get the funded hours there).

Thanks

The council don't care what private nursery (if any) you use.
Just make sure by checking direct your current private will be able to offer the funded place. If you don't get the state nursery you won't you apply for funding for private nursery through the nursery.

In our area the council don't pay the full hourly rate for the private nurseries as they are all pretty pricey so you have to top it up. I'd imagine the form you have is only for state nitery application though. You can refuse an offered place though.

The state nursery would offer you a place and deal direct with the council. Think you would only fill in the form if you were using a private nursery. Have you been offered a school nursery place?

It's the other way round Groovee - you fill the form if you want a council/state nursery place.
If you want to use the funding at a private nursery the nursery apply to the council / give you a form and you get sent a code to pass back to the nursery.
