Dyslexia in Bromley primary schools

Can anyone recommend a primary school in Bromley that actually provides support for dyslexia?

DS is at st Marks and they are doing nothing. Think I am going to have to move him but don't know if any of the other primary schools provide any support.

What year is he on? I don't think schools provide a lot of help unfortunately. At least not in KS1

Lots of schools give extra support for dyslexia and other issues affecting reading and writing. Harris Shortlands, Burnt Ash, La Fontaine and Raglan certainly do. Best thing to do is phone up the SENCO at the schools you're thinking of and have a chat. St Marks doesn't have a good reputation anyway, does it? I'm sure you can find somewhere better.

Burnt Ash. Primary schools in Bromley are not very good at all for dealing with any special need.

Unfortunately I have found this to be true as well. Same goes for secondaries.

Thank you so much for the replies. Gives me a place to start. I think what scares me is that if you phoned the senco at st Marks as a prospective parent she would say all the right things, so I am worried other Sencos will do the same, and then I would move DS and they would do nothing.
However there is a long (identifying) history here, so I am definitely moving him.

Sorry to hear others have had bad experiences. DS's school is excellent at dealing with SN. I guess everywhere's different.

Under. Would you mind PMing me the name of the school?
