Thinking of moving to Sompting/Lancing

We currently live in Aylesford in Kent but are looking to reduce our outgoings. We have seen a few houses in Sompting and Lancing but dont know the area, can anyone help?

I like Sompting. Easy travel to Worthing and Brighton which has everything and you have the sea and countryside at a stones throw away. Brighton is colourful and vibrant. I love it.
