11 plus tutuion

can anyone please suggest a good tutor for 11 plus tuition in Halifax or surrounding areas?

Kit McGrath in Elland do a free initial assessment so might be worth a look. I'm taking DS tomorrow but not sure whether I'll continue with them afterwards yet. I'll let you know but if you find anyone else in the meantime let me know

We are in Huddersfield but most People I know here who tutored for 11+ used Kip McGrath
DD went once a week from year 5 for an hour after school and she never minded going. There were 4 in the class and they worked on computer tests so very low key - and I believe there were biscuits!!
She did very well but as with all franchises I suppose it depends on the individual teachers

They have quoted me £31 per session which seems very steep if they are in groups and on computers! It has to be weekly sessions paid monthly in advance.

Bloody hell I think I paid less than £20 and if we missed one we got a credit.
It is a franchise though so all different I suppose.
Where are you? The one we used in Huddersfield wasn't too far from Elland but with bypass traffic could be a pain

Went for assessment today and he was fab. We were there 2 hours and was very diligent trying to decide whether to commit now though!
