Where to move: Ascot, Windlesham or Sunningdale?

Hello, everyone.
I am new to mumsnet but have always relied on information posted here for a number of things, so thought it was about time to have a go at it myself. We are moving to Surrey in the Summer but struggling to find a town that ticks most of the boxes for all of us. Any help would be much appreciated. We have lived in London for nearly a decade, but children start new schools in September. DH will still have to commute to London (Waterloo or Paddington) so being near a station (less than a mile) is a must. Child number one gets car sick after about ten minutes so school run should not last more than 15 minutes door-to-door. Schools are in Windlesham and Ascot. We have been looking at South Ascot, Virginia Water, Windlesham and Sunningdale. Windlesham is lovely but commuting from there would mean DH would have to drive to the station and back. I would like to be not too far from shops, etc, not in a too rural, tucked away area. We really liked the feeling Ascot and the area around the High Street. Any suggestions on where to look? Children will go to Bracknell for sports activities after school so we are trying to factor that in as well. Tall order, it seems. Thanks!

Hi, just interested where you landed on in the end? We are looking at the same areas - Windlesham, South Ascot and Sunningdale for very similar reasons. We are relocating from America back to the uk with our girls, ages 2 and 3. We have family in hampshire and Berkshire and my husband will drive to work via M3/M25. I would also like to be near some shops/life, not too isolated...

Hope everything’s going well!
