Moving To St George's Hill, Weybridge

Hello there. I'm new here so I may not understand the 'Mumsnet Terminology' yet. Well, we are looking at moving from Camberley to the St George's Hill Estate in Weybridge. The surroundings look picturesque and my husband is very interested in the golf club but we are wondering if the area is very child friendly e.g. what are the local tutors, schools & outdoor activities like in the area. Would someone be able to shed any light for me?

Greatest Thanks

What sort of tutors, schools and outdoor activities are you after?

Hi, well my daughter is still quite young, but is showing a keen interest in singing and here in Camberley, she enjoys the tots trampolining.

I'd love to help, but that's not really enough information to recommend schools and tutors. Sorry.

My DSs went to St George's College, Weybridge - great school.

Thank you both, I am pleased to hear St George's College is up to standard. Henrietta would ideally need a vocal coach (1 on 1) to help her establish her singing style and vocal range. She is nervous in large groups, so it would probably need to be done that way until she builds up her confidence.

My experience of having a singer, is that singing lessons don't really start until Y7. For exceptional students in very controlled situations, Year 5.

Any independent school will be able to produce an excellent singing teacher, and most peri lessons are 1:1. They will also be able to produce performance opportunties, which is something you should not overlook.

OP, I would ask MN to delete your child's name from your last post if I were you.
