moving out of Islington.. advice please!

Hi there,

my partner and I are expecting our first baby and looking to move from our flat lovely little 2 bed flat in Islington to a quiet, green area with more space (like everyone!) We'd love to stay in the area but simply can't afford a house here. we've discovered Aldersbrook near Wanstead flats and love the look of the area and the size of the houses. My only concern is there seem to be no local cafes or shops you can just walk around the corner to. I also don't know anyone in the area.

I'd love to hear advice from those of you who've had similar experiences and where you've decided to move? Even Hackney is so crazy expensive for a house now! Our budget is max 850k.

Hi @Jessamelb. I'm also looking at moving out of N1 and interested in what you decided. We had a look at a few places in Forest Gate over the weekend and on paper it seems to tick all the boxes. There is quite a lot on the market there at the moment.... :)
Anyway, hope whatever decision you made turned out well!
