Science party recommendations?

DD would like a science birthday party. There will be 6 & 7 year olds, plus possibly a few younger siblings. There seem to be quite a few companies offering this. Has anyone had one locally that they would recommend please?

I'm not local, but did a science party for 7 year olds using PhD students on an outreach project from the university close to me. It was excellent and much better than the party companies round our way. Might be worth a try?

That sounds great - how did you find them?

Thanks SiliconJen - have you had a party with them or have your children been to one? Would you recommend them?

I found the PhD students through a friend who worked in the chemistry dept. The dept website might be a good starting point to see whether your local university does the same?

At least one child has been to a mad science party (although i forget which one...), and they have had them come into school/holiday club. They have all enjoyed it as far as I can remember.
