DH and I are looking to buy a house (currently in a small flat) and we have a 2 year old DS. We cannot afford private school and would struggle to buy in the more 'desirable' state catchment areas. We've seen a few affordable houses in the catchment for Liberton primary and Liberton High school and are thinking about buying in the area.
Does anyone have any experience of the primary and high school? I've heard a few negative remarks about the high school but figure that high school entry is a good few years off and we should try to get some balanced opinions of the two schools.
We're lucky that DS is in a very, very well regarded nursery and I worry (hopefully unnecessarily) about his transition to primary in a few years.
