Moving to Melton

Hi, posting here as well as on the main property board in case anyone's locally can help. Looking for a house to buy in Melton with a 350k to 500k budget, am so disappointed to find nothing suitable on rightmove. Any ideas as to why the housing market is so quiet there?

I'd like to live in the town itself, south side if possible.

The housing market is quiet because nobody ever moves away - Melton is full of old people. SOuth side is nice but to be honest, for the price range you are looking at, it will all be nice; Melton is not an expensive place to buy a house compared to the SE of England.

Thanks, the trouble is there is nothing around at that price at all. One in Essex Close and one off Burton Rd but neither suitable.

Hi I know you have said Melton but have you looked at some of the surrounding villages. Waltham on the wolds lovely houses and good size village and not far from Melton for example.
