I am relocating from Essex to Suffolk in April. We have found a property we want to rent in Tunstall but unfortunately Farlingaye school is full so my son cannot go there on the free bus. The next school is either Alde Valley or Thomas Mills, does anyone have a child at either of these schools and can advise me on transport options.

Out of the 2 I would go for Thomas mills. If you can get your son to wickham market the school buses go to Thomas mills from there. Assuming that they have space on the bus. Have a look at Suffolkonboard website it will have the school bus timetables on there.

Have you got your sons name down for farlingaye in case a space becomes available?

I would also say Thomas Mills , I think they also have a bus from Saxmundham , not sure where else it stops

May look at some other rental properties nearer Thomas mills.

Hi. I am 2 miles from Tunstall. When we moved Farlingaye declared itself full but within 3 weeks had messaged me to say a space!

Saxmundham free school is also worth a look. I know someone whose child goes there as they moved into Farlingaye catchment too late for a place and they are very happy with it. Thomas Mills deffo the best option on paper.
