DS and I did an adult and child half day cookery course at the Edinburgh New Town Cookery course over half-term. It was fab! DS made bread, muffins and a stir fry (very tasty) and we both learnt loads.

In fact, it was so good I thought I'd come in and tell you all about it Grin. (I don't work for them or anything!)

I did a French cookery day last year and really enjoyed it. I would also recommend them.

How old is your DS Pentland? I've often wondered if I should book myself on a cookery course!

I think thy start from age 9! Shame as my 7 year old would love this!

He's 9. He was the youngest there and I needed to do a fair bit of the chopping/kneading but he really enjoyed it and tried to do everything.

When he is a bit older I would definitely consider the courses where he goes on his own but I think he did need me there at this stage.
