Stay at home parent new to the area

Hiya.
I'm a stay at home dad and we have recently moved to the area because of my wife's job. We have a 2 year old daughter. I'm just looking to try and meet other stay at home parents as I don't know anyone here and starting to go a bit crazy with just a 2 year old for company the whole time. I understand if you don't want to meet as I'm a man and I'm sorry for intruding if this group is only for women. Would be nice to maybe just get coffee. Hi. Oddly enough, just about to move to Chippenham. My ds is at school but I work from home.

Oh wow haha that's a coincidence. Welcome to the area. I've been here a few months. Haven't really met anyone in the area yet so just need to socialise a bit and get out of the house sometimes. What's your name? Are you married or a single parent?

Married. Not moved as yet - just put an offer in on a place and waiting to sell ours so probably won't make the move for a few months.

I don't know Chippenham yet but there are generally lots of baby groups attached to churches and the like. Have you tried any of those? Alternatively, I used to hang out at soft-play and insert myself into other people's conversations. It may have been a bit stalker-ish but I made some good friends that way.

Oooh ok well good luck with the move! Ours was luckily not too stressful. We moved because of dw job.

Aw thanks. Haha maybe I will give that a try.I unfortunately have just started to realise that my marriage is actually in quite a bit of trouble. I don't know how I didn't really realise until posting on here.this is a really good site though. I just thought getting out for a bit would be the first step.
