Hi everyone! We are looking to move house currently live in Chertsey , we love the area but house prices are ridiculously high. We have realised we could get more value for our money further out places like Farnborough, Frimley, and Borden in Hampshire does anyone know if these areas are good? Or any recommendations on areas roads villages will be very much appreciated thanks

What are you looking for?

easy of commuting, schools, work ?

We both work in Chertsey but will probably change jobs if needs be. Ideally a nice peaceful area with good schools. My daughter is six months old so we are looking for our permanent family home. Thanks

Schools can change ever so much in 5 years, I know my daughters did, so I wouldn't panic too much , take a drive, get the feel of the area. If it feels right , it probably is, happy hunting.

Haslemere and Midhurst are nice. Petersfield also lovely if you're looking for ease of commuting, and decent schools. Bordon not fantastic for schools at the moment but they're ploughing a lot of money into regenerating it.

Try Mytchett, Camberley, Pirbright, Ash and surrounds - good for commuting, direct access to A331/M3 or A31/A3/M25.

good schools at infants and junior, average at Seniors, unless Catholic.

Excellent 6th form.

Parts of Farnham would be good - great schools, excellent secondary - but expensive.
