Does anyone know of any sort of scheme or arrangement where older, retired ladies volunteer time to help/support mums in the Penwortham area? I heard something on the radio about a group doing this elsewhere in the country and thought it sounded like a great idea. My mum has time on her hands and is fantastic with kids - my daughter is grown up now. I'm thinking particularly of mums who may be new to the area and don't have much (or any) support. Does anyone have any information or ideas please? Thank you!
