parks - botanical gardens?

I was wondering if there is a park attached to the botanical gardens that isn't so much a garden-viewing bit, if you know what I mean - more just wild fields etc, where you could jog etc. I know some botanical gardens have that sort of thing.

You can't jog in botanical Gardens I'm afraid. It's quite a big site though.

And if you cross the road there's all of Coe Fen/Lammas land to jog around!

I'd be on the station side of the gardens though so a big site to get through before Lammas land! But I kind of figured that might be the case. It was hard to tell from the map, though.
thanks.

If you are near the station you could cut over the pedestrian bridge and along to Coleridge PArk for a jog.

thanks, that sounds like a possibility, just looked it up on the map.

Another thought - the pathway along the guided busway from the station out towards the hospital might be a good jogging route. But might just be for cyclists/too busy with cyclists. And not quite as soft on the feet as grass! But easy to get to and away from traffic. And flat (though that's not hard in Cambridge!).

Guided busway path isn't just for bikes, neither is it especially busy. Outside of peak times you would have no problems running there. Even in peak times you just have to look around - lots of Long Road students walk along it as the quickest route from the station.

excellent.
