Hi ive just moved to the area with my partner and two children. Im really strting to feel affects of leaving all friend's and family behind. Ive been here just over 2 months and really love it here just need to start socialising/making friends. Hi Dani - I'm in the same boat. I moved up from London a couple of months ago. I love it here and every-one is friendly but, of course, it's a well-established community and it's hard to make friends. I will probably join a couple of sports clubs and volunteer for a local event as there seems to be a strong community of volunteers here. Otherwise, I'd be happy to meet and between us we can work out a plan to crack Nantwich.

Hi both and welcome to Cheshire and the Cheshire pages! I moved to Knutsford from London over 12 years ago and like you both I found it hard at first, my son was just two and we started to make friends a baby groups like Tumble Tots and music groups. I felt like I had made the wrong move at first and missed everyone and everything! I made more friends when he started pre-school and just chatting to other mums at the park! I've some great mates now and feel part of the community, it takes time but you will get there I promise! If you ever fancy coming to Knutsford for a coffee just let me know.
