St Paul's Primary current experiences

We're looking at schools for reception intake next year. St Paul's is our catchment school, we went to the open evening this week and came away feeling distinctly underwhelmed. We will apply to St Matthew's (which we got a much better feel from) and one other as well (though struggling to work out the most sensible third choice) but know it is very likely we'll get St Paul's so wanted to hear of people's current opinions of it and hoping that the reality is better than the impression they gave.

A look at the parent views expressed on the ofsted website might give you some idea of what current parents think of the school.

My children are there and are generally pretty happy. School seems to be working hard to address the issues raised in it's recent Ofsted inspection (which was in the last week before Christmas nearly a year ago). Current reception teacher seems very lovely (though my children didn't have her). In my experience the staff and other parents are friendly, helpful and involved and the school has a strong sense of community.
Hope that's helpful, if you have any more specific questions let me know.
