My daughter loves getting all done up (I hate it!) and I have looked for a place that will do a spa-style experience for a pre-teen. Everywhere seems to have a minimum age of 13, 15 or 16. It can be nail painting (no false nails), pedicure, hair do, very light make-up, that sort of thing. The point of going is to have a girly bonding type day, so I definitely don't want somewhere they will take her into a back room and do her nails and me into a different room to do a facial, it needs to be a place where if you both book in advance and maybe need to book the same thing, you can be seen together.
Does anyone know a place in or near Edinburgh that will book in a mum and daugther treatment where we stay together and will accept a child of 10? Or one where they come to the house would do too, but the salon experience is preferred. As many suggestions as possible in case I can't get in at the first place or we can't get there, there's no wheelchair access, etc.
