Ballet classes in South Cambridgeshire

Does anyone have any recommendations for ballet schools in South Cambridgeshire? Ideally I don't want to have to trek into Cambridge itself (we're just north of the A505). DD has decided she'd like to do ballet so would like some reccommendations.

Also, what's the ethos of the schools like? Some of the pictures look scary (wee tots in uniform, hair in buns) - DD is only 4 so want something that's fun and that we can have a bash at for a term, I'm under no illusions that she's going to be the next Margot Fonteyn Grin

Slight hijack of thread, but if anyone knows of a ballet school that teaches grade 4 for teenagers (also tap) , I would be very interested to know about it.

doctorgeek our very excellent class is closing down, so I can't recommend it to you :(

Disclaimer - my kids don't do ballet (at the moment anyway!). But friends with kids in reception class go to Bourn school of ballet and love it.

It's in the city but not too far in approaching from the South, lovely kind and relaxed teacher, does teens and adults too:

Amazingly has put up with DD's antics for over 4 years now.

Peggetty that looks great.
Don't suppose you know anywhere that offers a similar level of teaching for Tap?

Bodyworks does ballet and tap for teenagers. And I recommend Colours of Dance on Histon Road too. These options are in town; I'm replying more for Grumpysquash.

Another vote for Kate from Dedikated. Some of her young adult students just passed their (grade 6?) exams at the RAD in London with excellent marks. And yet she's relaxed enough with the young ones to keep it fun.

Great, thank you very much for all your suggestions, will get emailing!
