Mandeville primary St Albans - any experiences?

Does anyone have recent experience or knowledge of Mandeville Primary in St Albans? I know it didn't have the best reputation a while back, but it's got a fantastic Ofsted (outstanding in several areas).

Views welcome!

My DD doesn't go there but I've lots of friends with kids there - they love it & think it's a great school. Perhaps try to get a meeting/chat with the head teacher to ask any questions you may have - she's supposed to be amazing. I'd also suggest you join the St Albans Mums Facebook group (if you're not on it already) and ask the question there as there are lots of mums on that group with kids at the school so you'll probably get more replies. Sorry I can't be of more help and hope someone with more knowledge comes along soon.

Aaah, wigeon, didn't realise it was you! Is this for your sister? This is close to my local area. If she's moving here, it's a nice place to live. I'm the Watling St end and it's got a nice village feel - people are very friendly. I hope she's found somewhere she likes. There are other good FB groups - All Things St Albans is a good one. People are very knowledgeable and friendly on both groups and she'll be able to get lots of honest opinions on schools etc. Good luck!
