Are you an expectant Mother/Parent?

Would you consider taking part in an infant observation?

Would you be happy with weekly visits in order to observe the development of your ever growing baby?

If your answer is yes to all these questions, then your participation would be very helpful, and I look forward to hearing from you.

My name is Cathryn Rothwell and I am currently undertaking a course in Child Development (MA in ‘Working with children, young people and families’) offered by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and the University of Essex.

Part of the course requires me to observe a baby for an hour a week in the family environment, as this is the best way to learn how a baby’s ordinary relationship develops and grows with their mother.

No preparation or change of routine is needed in any way. It is intended to be an unobtrusive observation at its most natural, and simply to aid my learning.

If you feel this is something that you may be interested in supporting or would like more information, please contact me by email: [email protected] or on my mobile: 07950 547 970

I did this (as a mother, with my baby) for a student at another but similar institution and it was enjoyable! The student I had was very respectful and friendly and nice to have around, and it was really good to feel I was helping towards his qualification. He's now working as a psychotherapist with children.

So to anyone considering this, I'd say get in touch with the OP to find out more.
