I'm fed up. Another customer service gone so that a company doesn't have to deal with problems.
I was thrilled when Johnson's Dry Cleaning joined with local Waitrose on Hauxton Road in Trumpington. I'm a full time working mum who lives in Cambridge and commutes to London. The 10-5 Cambridge business hours don't work for me. I find it a very difficult town to do any shopping in because of the hours only work are designed for families with a person that doesn't work or only works part time. So being able to drop off my trousers to be hemmed and my clothes to be dry cleaned after 6 pm during the week and on Sat/Sun was heaven sent. And I have been using the counter to hem all my trousers ever since.
Today I took another set of trousers in to be hemmed and was told we don't do that anymore. After talking to Johnson's office that Waitrose customer service put me in contact with on the phone, I was told Johnson's had problems with a few customer's and the hemming. They now will only do it if you go to one of their stores and have them measure you. The woman on the phone tried hard to sell me on the service missing the whole point that I DON'T HAVE THE TIME. The whole point using the counter service in the local Waitrose was that it made it easily for me.
Net result -- Johnson's local office doesn't solve any problems for me anymore. It is just another company that transfers their problems to the customers.
As a result, I will no longer be using Johnson's and I have decided that I will be trekking the trousers and any future dry cleaning to London to store near my work. It is open early (on the days I go in early) and still open after I finish work.
