Addenbrookes hospital parking

I need to drop a sample off at the hospital, does anyone know when's the best time to go and which car park? It's a 40 min drive away for me as I live in Herts and I'll literally be in and out of outpatients so want to spend minimal time queuing.

Before 1.30. If you have a blue badge, parking is free in bays at front of hospital (you have to pay in carpark). If not, the multi-storey is your best bet.

If you're very lucky (and get a space) and can be very quick, there's a layby behind the bus station which is 20 mins waiting. You need to go in via the main roundabout on Hills Rd, keep the buses on your left and turn left. The layby is on your right. If it's full, you'll have to use the multi-storey, which is 3 years' walk away

Thanks, I went today and parked in the multi storey Car Park 1 - plenty of spaces near the top.
Useful to know about the lay by with the waiting spaces, though I would have had to sprint to get back to the car on time as the hospital is huge!
