We're new to the area and need to decide this week which primary school to apply for our son going into primary 1. Does anyone have any thoughts/knowledge about the schools and which is better? Really grateful for any advice. Thanks

Both are excellent, as are the other two in SQ. We're very lucky here. I think echline has more playground space maybe? But they are both good schools.

You would need to apply first for your actual catchment school, and I believe the out of catchment requests are next week.

Thanks for the replies Lonny and Buckey.
Buckey-that's what we'll do. Give us a bit more time to decide!

Both schools are good. Is your child in nursery for one of them? Both nurseries do a good transition to its own P1.

I'd go for whichever you're in catchment for as then your kids friends will be your neighbours. It's very unusual to travel across the town to the further one and it will appear odd.
