Hello there I am moving to meanwood in December with my three year old son. Can anyone recommend a good preschool/nursery local to that area? We will enrol him at spring bank school.....is there a nursery that tends to feed into that school? We would love to give him as much continuity as possible.
Thanks!

Hello, and welcome!

Spring Bank is an excellent choice - my kid goes there & loves it. There are no feeder nurseries or preschools to Spring Bank but many kids come from Headingley preschool. I can recommend this place too Smile as my kid spent 1.5 happy years there. They have just opened another site, so there are 2 to choose from so I reckon you'd stand a good chance of getting a place.

Hey thanks Loz! I have just booked him into their new Burton Crescent site , they seem lovely.
How about nice baby groups in the area to take my six month old too?

Rhymetime at Headingley Library is popular with the six month crowd!

Sorry - I keep forgetting to check in here :)

I used to take mine to the children's centre in Headingley, which is on the site of Shire Oak school. It is a bit oversubscribed though. I have since heard about a baby & toddlers group at South Parade Baptist Church in Headingley, which I wish I had known about at the time as all the kids in my kid's class went there :) so it could be good for both of yours. It's at the church hall, I think, but isn't a churchey group, IYSWIM.

Hope you're enjoying Leeds so far - I am currently checking out the new John Lewis Wink
