Children's Lantern Procession

Have you heard about the Children's Lantern Procession in Durham - this year it's on 3 December.

I believe it sells out really quickly - there are 300 lanterns for kids up to approx 11, kids get to keep their lanterns afterwards, and all the kids process from Durham Market Place up to the Cathedral to the St Nicholas Parade.

Sounds like a lovely pre-Christmas thing to do with the kids ... Smile

Thank you I've just bought them.

We've never done this, but it does sound lovely.

It coincides with the Christmas festival, yeah? That disappointed me, last year, because I usually go to the cashpoint and hit the producers' market, hard, but none of my favourites were there, last year.

Yes, I know it's part of the Christmas Festival with all the markets. Which is the producers' market - is that the one in the Cathedral Cloisters? I know they have a listing on their website www.durhamchristmasfestival.com
